The Founders:

Tom Walsh (BSc. Electronics / Computer Systems), is a founding member and is our Chief Technology Officer.
He is the former VP of Global IP Operations and Engineering for Europe's biggest MSO (Multiple Service Operator) where he
deployed cable and SmartGrid solutions, Broadband IP systems and networks throughout the EU, Latin America and Asia
Pacific. He led a multi-lingual, multi-skilled technical team of engineers, and was responsible for 24/7 network and service
availability.

Tom's career began in the deployment of LAN systems in the UK, he then gained extensive insight and experience in cable
(HFC), MMDS and wireless networks within Ireland, before moving to mainland Europe. He spent 7 years initially focusing
on securing wireless licenses (WLL & MVDS) and regulatory issues. In recent years he set up Glasnua to specialise in
technical due-diligence consultancy, working with banks and private equity firms on the purchase of EU cable companies.
He has also led research and deployment teams in broadband over powerlines, and utility network management systems.
Tom is an active member of the EU Smartgrids Forum, and a past participant of the Genesis Enterprise Programme.

Patricia McGrath is a founding member and our Chief Operations Officer. She has been involved in international technology
businesses for over 20 years. As the former VP of IP Network Capacity Planning & Implementation for Europe's biggest MSO
(Multiple Service Operator),she led 40+ staff in broadband network planning and service implementation around the globe.
Her multi-lingual management teams planned and managed the roll-out of IP broadband in 14 countries, on 3 continents,
and were recognised as leaders in the industry with the fastest time-to-market. Tom Walsh was a colleague here, and they
later joined forces, and relocated their respective families to Ireland when they set up Glasnua.

Patricia began her career as a Senior Technical Analyst, converting major IBM mainframe applications for the finance
industry. She specialised in Business Process Re-Engineering, using new, cutting-edge technologies to improve customer
services, cut operating costs and increase the reliability of data in large, multi-site corporates. Patricia also spent 2 years in
finance at GE in Amsterdam, where she managed vendor financing and cost accounting on high-volume hardware
wholesaling from Sun, Cisco and HP. Patricia is an active member of the EU Smartgrids Forum, and a past participant of the
Genesis Enterprise Programme.
